When installed, fork extensions influence the truck's capacity. Modifications and additions to the lift truck that affect capacity or safe operation shall not be performed without the written approval of the forklift manufacturer. Where such modifications and additions are performed, capacity, operation and maintenance instruction plates, tags or decals shall be changed accordingly.
