What you need in preparation for a wildfire:
Prepare an emergency kit
Develop an evacuation plan and learn about proper fire safety procedures

What you need to recover from a wildfire:
Use extreme caution when returning to your home or place of work
Do not use appliances until the fuse-breaker or switch box has been verified by a qualified electrician
Look for damage to floors and walls, as well as broken glass and other potentially dangerous debris
Use the appropriate safety equipment if contact with debris is necessary, such as gloves, masks and other protective gear
Prioritize ventilation or humidification of the affected area
Use appropriate cleaners to clean smoke from floors, walls, and all other surfaces that were contaminated by smoke
