Why efficient treatment of compressed air at the work station is vital?

The harmful agents in a compressed air system are:

Liquids & condensates:

• Cause line corrosion
• Cause reduced performance of tools and cylinders
• Cause lubricants to wash away

Compressor oil:

• Forms corrosive acids from lubricant aerosols
• Forms sticky emulsions, reducing tools' speed and performance
• Forms clogging residues

Solid contaminants:

• Cause premature wear and damage to controls, tools and cylinders
• Cause seizing and scoring of cylinders and air powered motors

Proper air preparation will result in improved performance and increased tool life.

Filtering, regulating & lubricating at the work station

Compressed-air treatment program units and modular components are indispensable to insure maximum efficiency of controls, pneumatic tools, air cylinders and other pneumatic equipment.

They allow:

• To prolong pneumatic equipment life as well as of air cylinders
• Proper filtering and lubricating of air prolong their life and top performance by a ratio of 1 to 20
• Increase tools and equipment performance up to standard of efficiency, by preventing damages due to overheat and seizure
• They insure a dependable source of smooth vibrationless power to operate tools at an efficient and steady speed
• To reduce downtime, therefore improve the overall performance and efficiency of any compressed air system, tools, air cylinders or other pneumatic equipment

Proper usage of compressed air calls for:

Filters/micro coalescing:

• To remove moisture and particles

Regulators:

• To control pressure for the particular use

Gauges:

• To show pressure

Lubrificators:

• To protect power tools by injecting a metered quantity of lubricant
