Bill 41 is a new Ontario provincial bill which would require public buildings (such as schools, fitness facilities, and hockey arenas) to provide access to Automated External Defibrillators (AED's).


The CSA standard was developed (in part) because of the success of the international standard that was developed for the EU in the 90's.


Each day I get a call or two from a sale rep trying to peek my interest in their products? Do you like phone solicitation? I am not talking about with your home phone but at work? Do you answer them? Direct them to the right person if you are not the one to decide?


Our business can be viewed as a barometer to the economy. As a full line industrial and safety distributor, we sell everything to all companies. We are having some great months in 2010 so does that mean that the recession is over? I would like to remain cautiously optimistic that the worst is behind us, and that we are moving in the right direction.


I keep getting mixed messages from customers about receiving a printed catalogue. If you work in a large company environment, most big companies tell their employees to be paperless and responsible to the environment, yet they block most web access as it is deemed a time waster. Hence we still feel that a printed catalogue is a necessity for some time to come.


If you are watching the Canadian dollar you will notice that it is heading to parity with the US currency. If you think that this is a good thing or bad is another discussion.
